Person centered care

Person-centred care is emerging as the primary approach to health care.

What is it?

Also sometimes known as person's healthcare rights, person-centered care is an approach to providing care that recognizes the person being treated rather than just focusing simply on the disease or ailment.

Why is it important?

Patients do better. Fewer adverse events, faster recovery, better outcomes, lower costs and a higher degree of satisfaction for all involved.

Who can benefit from it?

The approach emphasises the partnership and relationship in health between patients and their healthcare professionals. Both the carers and the cared-for do better when person-centric methods are used.

Founders

Thanks for your interest in what we are doing and for visiting our website. We want to make the world a better place by elevating the importance of people in healthcare. We've seen it first hand, how misunderstanding the person being treated de-humanizes them, and lowers the quality of their care outcomes. This also impacts healthcare workers as well as they are not able to provide the care they want to deliver. So we want to help change that and help empower healthcare systems around the world to once again place people at the center of the care equation.
